Theological Statement
As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church In Ireland we are reformed in our doctrine. This is illustrated by the fact that all ministers and elders subscribe to the Westminister Confession of Faith. The Confession is Calvinist in doctrine and highlights the inerrency, inspiration and sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, and the sovereignty of God.

The minister of First Presbyterian Church Ahoghill is fully committed to the reformed faith and believes the church should ever be reforming in its practice. He holds to and preaches the five points of Calvinisim: Namely

1. The total depravity of man
2. Unconditional election
3. Limited atonement
4. Irresistable grace
5. Perseverence of the saints
